Privacy Policy

This document is a translation of the original version of the Privacy Policy. It is provided for informative purposes only and have no contractual or legal value.

  1. Definitions

    Each of the following terms shall have the meaning set forth below in this Privacy Policy:

    • Application: refers to the application "Crossword" (com.gingkolab.crossword) as a whole, including software, screens, pages, graphical elements, content, etc.
    • User: any person using the Application, whether free or paid. In plural form Users, it refers to all persons using the Application.
    • Publisher: refers to the publishing company Gingko Lab, SARL with a share capital of €1000, registered with the Bordeaux Trade and Companies Register under number 947665519, with its registered office located at 7 Allée de Chartres, 33000 Bordeaux.
    • Sentry: refers to the Sentry service provided by Functional Software, Inc. d/b/a Sentry, 45 Fremont Street 8th floor, San Francisco CA 94105, United States.
  2. Data Processing

    Data processing is performed using Sentry, an analytics service provided by Functional Software, Inc. d/b/a Sentry, 45 Fremont Street 8th floor, San Francisco CA 94105, United States.

    The processed data are not used by any third party.

    The processed data are not sold.

    The lifespan of processed data is a maximum of 90 days.

    The Publisher’s Sentry configuration prevents the Application from transmitting personal data and geolocation data. The Sentry service is also configured to remove any IP address that may be collected during the reporting of requests to Sentry’s servers.

    The Publisher uses Sentry’s EU servers. No User information is transferred to servers outside the European Union.

  3. Collected Data

    Below are the types of data collected by Sentry under the configuration used:

    • General device information, such as model, operating system, and orientation
    • RAM and disk size
    • Locale / language settings
    • Battery level and charging state
    • Application version
    • Application foreground or background state
    • Application name
    • A pseudonymous application instance identifier
    • Network URL (excluding URL parameters or payload content) and the following related information:
      • Response code (e.g. 403 or 200)
      • Payload size in bytes
      • Response time
    • Durations for automated traces
  4. Data Type and GDPR

    None of the data processed by the Publisher can identify a User, either individually or when aggregated with other data processed by the Publisher.

    As such, the processed data are not personal data and are anonymous or anonymized. Therefore, GDPR regulations do not apply to the data processed by the Publisher within the Application.

  5. Use of Data

    All processed data are used solely for the purpose of improving the Application and ensuring its proper functioning, and are never used outside the scope of the Application.

    The Publisher may use the processed data for several purposes:

    • fixing crashes
    • fixing bugs
    • detecting anomalies
    • improving performance
    • monitoring overall traffic
